Day 1

Arrival in Srinagar – Dal Lake Houseboat Experience

Arrival Day

Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your traditional houseboat on the beautiful Dal Lake. After check-in, relax and soak in the peaceful lake surroundings. In the evening, enjoy a charming shikara ride across the calm waters of Dal Lake, passing floating gardens, houseboats, and local vendors on boats. The scenic views of the surrounding mountains and sunset over the lake make for a magical introduction to Kashmir. Return to the houseboat for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Explore Nigeen Lake & Srinagar Mughal Gardens

After breakfast, begin your day exploring the serene and less crowded Nigeen Lake, often referred to as the “Jewel in the Ring.” Surrounded by willow and poplar trees, the lake offers a tranquil atmosphere perfect for photography and relaxation. Later, continue your sightseeing tour of Srinagar with visits to the famous Mughal Gardens including Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, known for their terraced lawns, fountains, and views of Dal Lake. You may also visit the Hazratbal Shrine before returning to your hotel in Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Excursion to Wular Lake – Asia’s Largest Freshwater Lake

Today after breakfast, drive towards Bandipora to visit the magnificent Wular Lake, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Asia. Surrounded by majestic mountains and natural wetlands, the lake is known for its breathtaking landscapes and rich birdlife. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the lake shore and observe local fishermen at work. The quiet beauty of Wular Lake offers a different perspective of Kashmir’s natural charm. After spending time exploring the lake and nearby villages, return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Srinagar Local Markets & Cultural Experience

After breakfast, spend the day exploring the cultural side of Srinagar. Start with a visit to the famous floating vegetable market on Dal Lake if timing permits. Later, explore local markets such as Lal Chowk where you can shop for Kashmiri handicrafts, Pashmina shawls, carpets, dry fruits, and traditional souvenirs. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the lake or take another optional shikara ride to admire the stunning scenery once more. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.

Day 5

Departure from Srinagar

After breakfast, check out from the hotel or houseboat and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey. Your Kashmir Lake Tour concludes with wonderful memories of Dal Lake, Nigeen Lake, and the magnificent Wular Lake.
